Vector v0.19.3 release notes

The Vector team is pleased to announce version 0.19.3!

This patch release contains a one bug fix for a regression in 0.19.0.

Upgrading Vector
When upgrading, we recommend stepping through minor versions as these can each contain breaking changes while Vector is pre-1.0. These breaking changes are noted in their respective upgrade guides.

1 bug fixes

  • encoding.only_fields YAML and JSON configuration now correctly deserializes again for sinks that used fixed encodings (i.e. those that don’t have encoding.codec). This was a regression in v0.18.0. It was fixed in v0.19.2 but only for TOML configuration.
