Vector v0.34.2 release notes

This patch release contains fixes for regressions in 0.34.0.

Upgrading Vector
When upgrading, we recommend stepping through minor versions as these can each contain breaking changes while Vector is pre-1.0. These breaking changes are noted in their respective upgrade guides.

2 bug fixes

  • The Datadog Agent source now correctly responds to the empty payload request that the Datadog Agent sends on start-up to verify connectivity.
  • The protobuf encoder added in v0.34.0 now correctly receives and encodes log events. Previously it was silently discarding them.
